USING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE TO ENHANCE PROFESSIONAL CAPACITY

Using the Emotional Intelligence and Diversity model (developed by industry experts Gardenswartz, Rowe and Cherbosque www.eidi.results.org), each participant will develop an enriched understanding of themselves and will: 
 
  • clarify and enrich their own leadership style
  • learn effective intercultural leadership skills and practice those skills during the course of the workshop
  • develop a working knowledge of emotional intelligence as it relates to interculturalism & workplace diversity
  • increase their capacity to lead during time of transition
  • participate in the building of an enduring community among participants that will continue beyond the series of classes.

BECOMING A SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR
MODULE 1: THE BASICS

This two day collaborative course focuses on the fundamentals of social entrepreneurship, including: basic definitions, history, current models, qualities that foster success, what it takes to succeed and lessons from current leaders.

Participants will go through a creative process to clarify their ideas and gain insight regarding what it will take to become a social entrepreneur. 

This two day course will:

  • provide basic definitions and core information about what social entrepreneurism is
  • review the evolution of this business paradigm including how it evolved; how it is practiced today; and, the opportunities that exist going forward
  • explore current models and successful local and global social entrepreneurs
  • deeply consider why people succeed and why people fail as Social Entrepreneurs and learn from current leaders
  • clearly articulate what it takes to succeed as a Social Entrepreneur
  • guide the participant through a creative process of defining their social entrepreneurial passion and vision
  • create clear next steps for people to use in becoming a social entrepreneur
